وَالشَّمْسِ وَضُحَاهَا – 91:1
وَالْقَمَرِ إِذَا تَلَاهَا – 91:2
Warmth. Radiance. Luminosity. You give.
I am only but a lusterless satellite. How did you spot me from afar? I am only so small.
Oh, what a beaming face.
You claimed I gave you light through the murk (or perhaps you had meant wickedness and difficulty when you said ‘darkness’?).
I am only a reflection. A tiny rusty mirror.
This light does not belong to me.
I cannot exist without you.
Summer and good memories,
let’s meet again.
I think we were meant for each other.
O God,
if You please,
let us meet again.
I hope we are meant for each other.
